20 minute drive. Or cycle on quiet country roads. Beautiful lake and woodland area next to the village of Osmotherley. Good area for walking and mountain biking.

Cod Beck Reservoir is beautiful and only a short walk up the road from the cottage. There is also two car parks if you want to drive there. It has a footpath right around which is flat and suitable for peaks/pushchairs and wheelchairs. It has areas to sit and have lunch and enjoy the scenery. The ice cream van will often be in the car park on a nice day.

Recommended beautiful natural walk around the reservoir. Takes around 40 minutes slow pace. Car parking next to the reservoir or will take around 45 mins to walk from the cottage. The road after the Reservoir drops into Osmotherley in around 30 minutes on foot.
