Local walks in the area
Cod Beck Reservoir is beautiful and only a short walk up the road from the cottage. There is also two car parks if you want to drive there. It has a footpath right around which is flat and suitable for peaks/pushchairs and wheelchairs. It has areas to sit and have lunch and enjoy the scenery. The ice cream van will often be in the car park on a nice day.

Northallerton is a market town offering an array of shops, cafes and restaurants.
Northallerton is a market town approximately 15 minute drive away. It offers lots of shops including supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda, M&S. There are lots of pubs, cafes and restaraunts. There is an Urgent Care Centre here at the Frirage Hospital. The swimming baths offer fun for the whole family and there is a soft play called Crazy Kingdom if the kids need to let off some steam! There is a market on the high street on Wednesday and Saturday.

Northallerton

Whitby is a seaside town overlooking the North Sea. Historic points of interest include Whitby Abbey, Captain Cook Memorial Museum. There is a long beach with lots of cafes, pubs, shops and fish and chips!

Saltburn is always a favourite, approximately 30 minute drive away you will find a long Sandy beach, cafes, fish and chips shops and a pub. Take a walk along the long pier or take a ride in the cable car. It’s a great day out for all the family including dogs 🐕

Saltburn-by-the-Sea

Mount Grace Priory House and Gardens is a few minutes drive from Osmotherely. Roam the ruins of the monastery and explore the monks cells. Enjoy the recently renovated gardens.
