In my opinion, best Italian food on the island. Incredible wine list and even better service. Highly recommended but you will need a reservation in advance

Located in the heart of Old San Juan, La Lanterna marks the grand return to the exact spot where he opened his very first restaurant in 1989. An event made even more symbolic by the fact that chef Franco wasted no time in baptizing this new venture with the same name as the restaurant his mother and father owned for 40 years in Perugia, Italy. La Lanterna is a living love letter, the culmination of a life-long cycle, and the beginning of a new delicious chapter. Within its exquisite Old San Juan Spanish colonial architecture, guests may choose to be seated in the indoor dining room or amid the refreshing tropical foliage of the open-air patio. Or, if guests prefer, they may be served from our robust selection of wines and house cocktails at the bar where, in his 1992 trip to Puerto Rico, Luciano Pavarotti himself was served dinner by Chef Franco Seccarelli.
