Access by East by West Ferry - supergold card holders can travel free at specified times. A historic and scenic island, ex quarantine island and now a nature reserve. Swimming is allowed at Matiu/Somes Island (but no fishing). Sea life is abundant!

Take the ferry from Days Bay to Matiu Somes Island. Look up information about this on the department of conservation website
