Around the corner from Dooky Chase’s. This is a famous soul food spot known for fried chicken. This place is in all the tourist guides and the lines are almost always very long. You might want to avoid this place if just want a quick bite to eat.

Best fried chicken in town! Willie Mae’s specializes in fried chicken and red beans and rice. Sometimes the lines are long, but worth the wait.

Consistently named as the best fried chicken in America, the family owned joint lives up to its title. The fried chicken really is that good. (They have weird hours, so check if they’re open before you go) Favorites: Fried Chicken
