The Mound Trails is a lovely trail with paved walkways and historical burial sites, and a wonderful view at the top of the look out. It's about 50 or so steps up, but is a beautiful view of the Crystal River.

Great place to learn a little about the history of the area, or just enjoy a picnic in the outdoors. Try to find the fairy door painted on the bottom of one of the trees..

Inexpensive ($3 per car) historic walking park. As you walk the paths, read about the history, go up on the big mound for beautiful views, sit waterside on picnic tables and watch the boats zoom by or shrimpers head out for the night or enjoy a beautiful Florida sunset. (Don't forget the bug spray.) We are frequent visitors to this lovely park since we live just one street away.
