The Jade Buddha Temple is a Buddhist temple in Shanghai, China. It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma by sea.

Come to an iconic Buddhist Temple in the middle of the city, and you may see the monks at prayer - very theraputic with the smell on insense wafting around the area. Can get busy so try and get there early.

The temple draws from both the Pure Land and Chan traditions of Mahayana Buddhism. It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma. the temple is 15mins walk away.
