Sierra Nevada: Takes 1,5 hours to drive. Check the weather so it doesn’t snow etc! Then the last half hour is very steep. So choose a sunny day! Drive straight into the large car park you come to when you arrive. Then you come up in the small village and there iare ski rental everywhere and the ski pass kiosk on the town square. A bit sparse with restaurants in the slopes, but there are some.

It's refreshing and fun to drive out towards a different kind of nature, especially since the Sierra Nevada usually has snow from November until May. I love going out here just for the day. And the snow is just invigorating!

About 1,5 hours from Nerja you have the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort. 1200 vertical meaters. Great for skiing nd also great in the summer to hike to the top. First you take the lifts and then you walk for about 2 hors. In the winter you can rent ski, boots, helmets and pools. www.sierranevada.es/en/
