Pasta Y Basta Is some of the best Italian food that we’ve had since we’ve been in Italy. The chef and owner Christian Gritti came from Italy and makes some of the most amazing authentic Italian dishes we’ve ever had. Beautiful intimate atmosphere with fantastic food, desserts and a wonderful selection of wines. Some of our favorite dishes include the lemon shrimp pasta, osso bucco, Margherita pizza and Salmon bruschetta. The chef and staff are incredible very personable and welcoming. There is also an authentic Italian deli inside!

Located only 2 minutes north of La Jolla Excellence. This is hands down our favorite location for authentic Italian food.

The food is real Italian, not American Italian so go curious and try everything. Fresh and amazing! Chef Christian will. It disappoint you!

Excellent choice for Italian food. If you get tired of tacos, this is a good option for dinner. Staff is very friendly.
