Just a short walk away, Millbrook Meadow is a glorious small park across from Front Beach. Expanses of grass for throwing a frisbee or lounging on, a small playground, a bubbling brook leading to the ocean, and a lovely pond to sit by to watch the wildlife.

This lush park is across the street from Front Beach and has a new playground, a pond, and two acres of green space. Access via Beach Street, Mill Lane, or a somewhat hidden staircase off Kings Lane. This meadow and pond are a part of Rockport's early history. Two separate, very old cemeteries are nearby.

Millbrook Meadow is Rockport’s “green jewel”. The Meadow and Pond belong to Rockport and offer a special place to build memories with our families and friends. For generations, Rockporters and visitors have skated on the Pond, fished in it, and brought their children and grandchildren to visit the ducks. Countless groups have visited the Meadow for picnics, fairs, festivals, and weddings. And, each year artists come to capture its unique charm on canvas, paper or film. This magical Meadow has served many… and for 78 years volunteers and limited resources have kept it beautiful for everyone. Now we have begun a major Restoration of Meadow and Pond. In Fall 2017 we plan to start, by dredging Mill Pond and rebuilding Millbrook Meadow and Brook.
