Together with the Bob Marley Museum and Trench Town Culture Yard, the Tuff Gong Studio makes up the holy trinity of Bob Marley related experiences in Kingston. Tuff Gong International was founded by Bob Marley in 1965. Some of the biggest Marley classics such as No Woman No Cry, Trenchtown Rock and Stir it Up, are recorded in the studio at 220 Marcus Garvey drive. Tuff Gong Studio is today one of the most sophisticated music studios in Jamaica. It includes a recording studio (obviously), a mastering room, a stamper room, a vinyl pressing and cassette plant, a record shop and a booking agency. The studio has a mythical status and is a major attraction for international superstars intent on recording in Jamaica.
