Renew yourself! The Basque Country was a leader in developing thalassotherapy. In 1854, Napoleon III and his wife were the first celebrity patrons of the Chambre d’Amour spas. Today, the Atlanthal complex is the place to head for spa treatments. It is bordered by the Cavalier beach, right on the waterfront. Atlanthal offers custom treatment programmes, theme holidays, treatments for young people and mothers-to-be, as well as a lagoon for relaxation. It also has a beauty salon and a fitness centre.
