If you're a fan of whiskey then this is a wonderful experience. It's only very slightly on the cheesy side but the samples were excellent and there's a very comfy bar with a great view onto college green. Try the Writer's Tears whiskey.

It's whiskEY with an "EY". Don't go buying any of the cheap Scottish whisky without an "E". If they can't spell it right, then why would you expect them to make it right? Seriously though, the history of Irish whiskey is very very interesting. From world domination and hundreds of small distilleries to a struggling stagnant industry - the reasons for the decline are many and fascinating - Irish abstinence movements, US prohibition, Anglo Irish trade embargoes, WW2 neutrality. Thankfully many did survive and the industry is now back growing again with new distilleries opening up.
