A stunning sandy beach with dunes to climb and roll down, a shallow river to play in, caves to explore (including the magical holy well). The National Trust car park gets full quickly so best to arrive early. Short walk along an off road path to access the beach. Incredible place to sit and watch the sun set behind 'Gull Rocks'

An interesting trip - Holywell Bay to find the Mermaids Cave, which is on the right hand side of the beach. But beware of tidal times. The algae on roof of cave lights up in the dark.

North Coast/RNLI Life Guarded, not so easy access to cafe/toilets but amazing beach and river, steeped in local history with its Holy Well. National trust car park which gets very busy, so either go first thing and get there early or towards the end of the day for the sunsets other wise you might join a queue. Approx 20 -30 minutes by car away
