This family-owned restaurant does fried chicken right. They have a few locations in KC now, but my favorite is the old one on Oak Ridge. Each meal comes with some kind of potato (mashed, fries, plenty others), soup or salad, green beans, AND their famous cinnamon buns. Ooh you won't be disappointed! They are generally only open for dinner, FYI.

Great family style restaurant

Unique farm-house turned restaurant. Bring your kids and feed the swans. Go for a Friday lunch and enjoy the chicken fried chicken, family-size portions and a large chicken-choker.
