One of the oldest women's college (now co-ed) in America. Historic buildings, large trees, a truly beautiful campus. Go to the Winnie Davis (niece of Jefferson Davis) Building for great architecture and interesting design. The quarry was originally a mining location for limestone and goes under a large portion of Gaffney. One day they hit water, thus the Limestone Quarry was created. Great walking or running area too.
