Only happens a few months during summer, but renting a raft and floating down the Truckee River on a hot day is a once in a lifetime experience.

Floating the Truckee River is a summer must-do! Use the raft company for a more formal experience, or go across the street and buy inflatables at either of the gas stations or the grocery store.

This is a MUST do when they are open. Several companies to choose from. You must make reservations. Great for all...pack a lunch and spend 2+ hours on the lazy river (there are a few rapids here and there)

Perfect way to spend a day just floating down the Truckee river. Bring a cooler with drinks and food and some water toys and stop anywhere along the river to have lunch. Very calm river except for a little bit of rapids at the very end but you can get out and walk around those.
