has a long history in Chicago. They fix up bikes, and sell them, and with profits, they send bikes to various parts of the world who otherwise might not have access. This location is warehouse sized and is fun just to look around in. No, they don't rent as far as I know, but you can grab a Diivy somewhere close.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff; great, inexpensive bikes and repairs, all of the spare parts you could possibly ever desire.

Charity that gives away over 6,000 bikes a year internationally and teaches bike repair. Something of a bike museum as well.
