Go fishing or crabbing on the Virginia Beach Pier. Also a great place for sightseeing. Access to the pier will cost you.

It’s the biggest and greatest free attraction this area has to offer. It is one of my favorite places to be. To lay on the sand and stroll the boardwalk.

Of course, no trip to Virginia Beach would be complete without visiting the oceanfront! Be sure to check out the Neptune statue on 31st street while you're here for a great photo opportunity. For cheap and easy parking, use the metered parking, it's $2 per hour for a maximum of 3 hours or you can park in the parking garages located at 31st, 25th, 9th, or 4th street for $2 per hour or up to $10 per day. *Side note, metered parking is free during the off season from November 1st to March 31st.
