This company will let you rent out little boats on the Bassin de la Villette. Makes for a very nice (romantic or otherwise) afternoon. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around there if you're thirsty/hungry. Very young and hip neighbourhood.

Wicked way to discover the "not so touristy Paris" : Rent a boat per the hour and have a nice drink on the water ! (no boat licence needed). Very romantic ! A REAL MUST DO !!!

Electric boat self ride on the Bassin de la Villette is a very nice way to explore this very nice and different district of Paris. No permit required to ride your boat!

Here you can rent an automatic boat (you don't need to have your boat license) for a few hours and enjoy a fantastic promenade on Canal de l'Ourcq. Don't forget to bring your own glasses, drinks and food to make it very special.
