Famous for Spingo - a highly intoxicating strong ale brewed on the premises - The Blue Anchor is a historic Pub in the centre of Helston. If you can visit it on Flora Day in May you will see the whole town dressed for the processional dance that takes place every year on 8th May.

Why not visit the medieval Blue Anchor Inn and try the legendary Spingo Ale? According to legend it has been brewed in Helston for 600 years!

The Blue Anchor is one of the oldest original Inns in Britain that continues to maintain a working brewery, producing a variety of 'Spingo Ales'. The Inn retains all of its original character and features. They also have live music on regularly (check out the events page on their website), and a 'Session Night' every Thursday from 8pm.
