Great coffee (they roast their own) combined with Boom Boom bagels. A great way to start the day.

They roast their own coffee, they have crafted their own range of coffee based sodas and they make their own bagels (in their sister shop called Bang Bang Bagels). In my opinion this is the best coffee shop in Shanghai. Be warned - it can get crowded.

Sumerian is a Shanghai institution known for its quality coffee. This casual and welcoming spot on Shaanxi Bei Lu, complete with adorable dogs Burrito and Doudou, has always held a special spot in our hearts. Winner of the best café in our Best of Shanghai Awards 2014, and also securing a spot in our roundup of Shanghai's Best Breakfasts earlier this year, our love for their offerings has not been kept quiet.
