A really nice museum. Just have a look at the changing topics for the special exhibitions. The museum has a really nice café as well :)

außergewöhnlich gute Sonderschauen von Design, Kunst und Handwerk. Ideale Museumsgröße, kurzweilig. The museum for applied arts has chaging collections and exhibits for design and crafts, please check frequently to visit robots or see what cuttlery can do - never boring, rather small museum, good for an hour in between....

Southwest of Cologne Cathedral is the Museum of Applied Art. One of the city's "newer" museums - it was founded in 1888 - it's well regarded for its fine collection of more than 100,000 pieces of applied and decorative art from the medieval period onwards. Other important collections include jewelry, furniture, porcelain, arms and armor, as well as a number of interesting architectural exhibits.

Great 50s architecture. The museum's café is a fabulous spot to meet with friends and have casual business meetings.
