Temescal Farmer's Market

It takes place every Sunday morning in the parking lot of the Oakland DMV. Lots of diversity and families from all over the East Bay—it feels very much like a part of the community. There's always someone playing music. The market itself seems focused on children. Sitting down to watch the kids play and dance around is really sweet. In addition to doing your produce shopping for the week here, you can also grab a bite at the cluster of four or five booths selling prepared food, like good Thai and Indian. We love to do breakfast at the market.
