The Royal Oak, Dacre, is a pub and restaurant, the food is fresh, ample, fairly trad but always tasty, satisfying and not too dear. Good choice of local and well-known beers and lagers, served properly. There is a pool room, a snug with huge fieplace, a bar area, a lounge area and a back room mainly for dining or local association meetings. The beer garden outside is great in summer if you have dogs or cycles. It is close to the path along the River Nidd.

Great pub with fine ales and excellent food but it is four miles away in Dacre. Can be combined with several circular walks in that area. Has an excellent pool room.

Nearest Pub at the moment. Sadly the Flying Dutchman has closed due to Covid.
