These are the French Channel Islands - the ones the British didn't take and are a stunning find. To get there you go to the port in Granville and take the morning boat to the islands. You might want to take a picnic with you although there is a restaurant there. Don't go if it rains as there is little protection! The scenery is fabulous here, there are hidden little beaches, great views, and lots of birds. Our grandchildren thought it was great.

Iles Chaussey can be reached by boat from Granville. The quiet sandy beaches and crystal clear water are a delight as is the peace and quiet here along with the interesting birdlife, flora and fauna
