About 15.5 miles south of the Red Cabin, is a stunningly lush forest trail (1.8 miles round trip) leading to the Duckabush River - and favorite fishing hole. Start at the Interrorem Cabin, which was built in 1907. This structure is the oldest Forest Service dwelling on the Olympic Peninsula. On your return, take the 0.3-mile interpretive loop (open all seasons) for more information on the Cabin, the Ranger Hole, and native plants. Requires an Annual or Day Pass, not a Discovery Pass.

A mile and a half out and back with one steep part for a total of 200 ft elevation gain. There is an interpretive loop around the beginning of the trail that meets up with the trail to the water.
