This is the authentic famous hotel which inspired the 1938 film by Marcel Carné "Hotel du Nord". It is also the main inspiration source of the book by the same name, since the author was actually the hotel tenants' son who would write about the simple lives of ordinary parisians but high in colour!

A lovely restaurant right in the hip Canal Saint Martin neighborhood. Spend the late afternoon strolling along the canal (or taking a canal cruise) and then stop by for dinner.
