Agate Beach is located roughly 2.5 mile north of the cabin. Directions from the cabin - Driving: Go back out to Misery Bay Road, Turn LEFT. Drive roughly 3.5mi and follow the signs for Agate Beach. Total drive from the cabin is 8.5mi. Directions from the cabin - walking: from the bottom of the beach stairs turn north right) and walk about 2.5mi until you come to the Agate Beach.

Spend the day looking for agates and the night looking for yooperlites! Yooperlites are grey during the day but when you look at them under UV light, they glow with orange, pink, or yellow.

Lake Superior has so many beautiful shores and this is on one of them. It is a hidden gem of a beach and one can often have it nearly all to themselves. Many beautiful rocks and driftwood can be found here.
