For hiking : 4 miles not a super easy hike but you can always turn back there are some switch backs .

A moderate 4 mile out and back trail with some great views. Its a favorite of many in the area for a quick get out and hike trail or a trail run for the masochist. It is kid and dog friendly though your furry friend must be kept on a leash. If you are looking for a little outdoor adventure and not sure if you want to commit to a full day this is the perfect option. An adventure pass is required. Your GPS should be able to guide you to the trail head and the parking lot will be on the left across from Big Pines Visitor Center Interpretive site. Use caution during winter months it may be snowy and icy.

Blue Ridge Trail is a 4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Wrightwood, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
