I know this is a bit far away, but it's the best Mexican food in the Phoenix metro area. The tortillas are homemade and make everything is delicious. *Cash only*

Don’t let the bars on the windows deter you. Carolina’s is locally known for the best homemade tortillas and we love their salsa so much, we drink it straight from the little plastic cups it’s served in. Order the Chorizo w/Egg, Potatoes, and Beans Burro or the Oaxacan Special (our personal favorite).

It's in a tough neighborhood but everyone is all smiles when they get a Carolina's burrito or tortillas to go. Best way: order your burrito of choice foot long, enchilada style, with a butter tortilla on the side. Long lines at lunch because it is that good. Closes at 7.

This is the original Carolina's. It's not in a beautiful neighborhood or shopping area, but their food is some of the best and most authentic. They make everything, including the tortillas. You might think I've given you bad advice when you drive up and order, but the take-out food is worth it.
