Enjoyable and informative visit to Furleigh Estate the home to a award winning vineyard nestled in beautiful Dorset countryside and just 3 mile from the Blackbird Cottage. Thanks to Nick who gave us an entertaining tour around the vineyard and wine making process we finished off with a tasting of 3 delicious wines. This is a must for any wine enthusiast looking to find out about great English wines.

Award winning vineyard. Those dinosaurs who wandered this land millions of years ago have laid down their bones to make the perfect soil to grow world-class still and sparkling wines.

Located half a mile along the lane from The Cabin and The Pond House, you can book a vineyard tour and a tasting or simply visit their shop to buy some Dorset wines. Furleigh Estate is 85 acres of vineyard, lakes and grazing land surrounded by woodland. The area is teaming with wildlife; buzzards fly overhead; deer, pheasants and partridge roam the vineyard, while heron fish regularly from the lakes to which our resident geese return each Spring. We are proud that all of our wine is made here at Furleigh Estate from our own grapes. Unlike many of the larger English vineyards we do not import grapes from "foreign places" such as Sussex or East Anglia. Our Dorset wines are all made from Dorset grapes.
