Founded in 1428 as a Benedictine hostel. The college and Pepys Building are open all year to visitors excluding April to June.

See if you can pop into their back garden. Just keep walking through heading towards the back right. An oasis of calm in the middle of the City. Beautiful pond with Koi carp. Ducklings in Spring. Amazing tree to see in fellows garden (but you have to look over the fence unless you are a fellow - a bit like this in Cambridge!)

Fellow's still dine by candlelight at Magdalene College. It was the last all male college to finally admit women in 1988.

You can walk right into this secret garden from St. Andrew's street right through the gates of Emmanuel college veering a little to the right as you walk straight through the courtyard where you'll walk into a stunning landscape with a beautiful pond. Perfect for a quiet date or a family moment with the birds.
