In the same family for almost 200 years (now the 6th generation), this general store in Sydenham is stocked with many interesting things. Not too many years ago, it was a true general store -- the appliances were in a room in the back, the lumber in a barn across the street, the bullets on a shelf above the bananas, etc. Now the family has a larger grocery store and a hardware store and lumber yard down the street; this store has the interesting stuff and great gifts.

Canada's oldest general store - like, really old (we have been around since 1836!), but don't let that fool you. They specialize in bringing a wide variety of ethically sourced goods that the whole family can enjoy.
