this is where Plato's Academy was. This is a nice park and there are some ancient ruins as well. At a walking distance from home. (about 15 min.)

The archaeological site of the Academy of Plato is shaped today as a park and is located at one of the oldest districts of Athens. The area, which in antiquity was called Academeia from the local hero Academos, became famous from the School of Philosophy that Plato founded there in 387 BC. It is worth visiting the nearby innovative Digital Museum of the Academy of Plato, a museum for the great philosopher, at his neighborhood.
