Joleen and Brian Durham, the founders and owners of Piney River, bought their home and 80-acre farm in Bucyrus in 1998. The refurbished old barn, today called the “BARn,” was the official brewery for Piney River Brewing Company when it opened its doors to the public for the first time in March 2011. The BARn is still home to a thriving taproom that’s open every weekend. The old brewhouse space and some of the equipment is where Joleen and Brian are “playing” with their new Farm Raised Funk beers.

Founded in 2010 on a 160-acre farm in the Ozarks, they are an award-winning craft brewery dedicated to making beers that celebrate the Ozarks. From easy-drinking ales and lagers to Missouri oak-aged foeder beers, handcraft beers are offered here for everyone to enjoy. The BARn at our Farm is open every weekend for tasting, touring, and kicking back on the deck to watch an Ozark sunset. Hours of operation: Friday 4-9 pm Saturday 2-7 pm Sunday 12-5 pm. Summer hours Friday 4-10 and Saturday 2-10.
