Opened in 1956, Sam and Louise Perrella, along with Gene Cortese, brought Chicago-style pizza to Fargo. Sam needed a gimmick to get the locals to try this new “foreign” food and so he placed his pizza making station in the front window. The Fargo location still makes the pizza’s right there in the front window, on the corner of 3rd Ave. N and Broadway.
