Go hike up Esja to experience stunning view over Reykjavik city. Just be careful, take water and lunch with you. Should be around two up and one hour down.

Esja is a hiking point just outside Reykjavik, if you like the view of the mountain by the ocean then you will definitely like the view from the top! There is a coffee shop at the bottom of the mountain in case your starving from the hike!

This mountain is 20 minutes away by car and there are buses out there too. If you are in good condition this is a brilliant morning hike. It takes about 1 hour to go up there (and you will sweat) an 40 minutes down. Plus/minus. Many sports men use this mountain for training. Nice view, even if you do not make it to the top. Always take the weather into consideration.
