Blandford Museum houses and displays artefacts from Blandford Forum and the surrounding villages, from Prehistoric times to the present day. Exhibits include a large working model railway based on the former Blandford Forum station, a Victorian child's playroom, WWI and WWII memorabilia, the cobbler shop, the forge, and musical instruments The museum particularly traces 400 years of Blandford history from the 17th century onwards, and the story of the great fire of 1731 and the rebuilding of the town led by the bastard brothers. The Museum shop offers souvenirs, local crafts and local produce. Open every Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 16:00 from 1st April until the end of October. Free.
