If you are visiting the Castle - peep over the wall by the church where you will find the grave of author Anne Bronte.

A quick place to visit on way to or from the castle. A sad reminder of the tragedy of the Bronte family. It is situated in the additional graveyard attached to the original parish church of Scarborough, St Marys. The carpark is pay and display so is ideal for visiting the castle and accessing South Bay via the old town

Anne Bronte died in Scarborough on 28th May 1849 aged 29 years. She is buried in St Mary’s graveyard.
