Cooly Rocks On has evolved into Australia’s largest nostalgia festival. A signature event on Queensland’s calendar, the festival attracts thousands of visitors from near and far looking to celebrate the motors, music and lifestyle of yesteryear as the beachside destination of Coolangatta comes to life across five action-packed days. In 2022, Cooly Rocks On will return with a packed lineup featuring the best rock ‘n’ roll, swing, rockabilly and tribute artists from around Australia and internationally, set to turn back the clock on Coolangatta as they dish out the tunes of yesteryear! In a unique offering, Cooly Rocks On is one out of ten festivals held around the world to host the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, an Elvis Presley Enterprises event. So much more than just the music, the festival offers a strong motors element, featuring over 1,000 vehicles on display across the festival with what is renowned as one of Australia’s best Show ‘N’ Shine displays, a Kustom Kulture precinct showcasing hot rods, kustom vehicles, lowbrow art PLUS several Car Runs taking off from Coolangatta, allowing die-hard motor enthusiasts to convoy to various locations across the Gold Coast.

Music, dancing, cars, nostalgia and good old-fashioned family fun are all on the program, right here in one of the best destinations in the world. 7 - 11 June 2017 For the first time ever in 2017, Cooly Rocks On daytime entertainment will be completely free – presenting a star-studded line-up of rock’n’roll and rockabilly bands, plus all the usual festival favourites.
