This is my favorite way to start a Saturday. Baton Rouge has a fantastic farmer's market. They always have live cooking demonstrations with free samples. *The farmer's market is only open on Saturday. I would recommend going 8-10 AM

Local Saturday farmer's market that runs from 8-12. It has fresh produce, meat, dairy, etc, as well as an indoor area that has great food and other odds and ends.
