The Nassau Public Library and Museum is located on the southern side of Parliament Square. This octagonal building was originally built as a prison in 1797, making it Parliament Square’s oldest structure. The prison cells have since been re-purposed to store library books. The building also houses a fascinating museum complete with incredible colonial and Arawak artefacts
