Filey Brigg is a great place to get away from it all. I recommend going at low tide to explore the rock pools & crevices. Take binoculars & you should see heron resting on the rocks.

When the tide is out, you can walk all the way out to the end of the brigg and when it's not, you can walk along the cliff top and admire the stunning views. If you have your walking boots on, you can walk all the way to Cayton beach which can take around 2 hours.

A long narrow peninsula situated about a mile north of Filey. 20 metre high cliffs with a constant variety of material from pure sandstone to pure limestone. It’s also not unusual to see migrant warblers making their first touchdown on land. Filey Brigg is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Purple Sandpipers storage in the rocks and going into Autumn, is the best time to see Grey Seals here.
