Lake Pier is a lovely little beach. Free parking and quieter than the more well known beaches in the area. It's around a 10-15 minute walk away and is a beautiful place to watch a good sunset. There is also a small heathland area for a walk.

If proximity is your main criteria, there are many beaches in and around Poole Harbour, but Lake Beach is our favourite - sandy and shallow with a fishing pier, cheap parking and only 45 minutes away.

Good place to launch small craft. Access to quiet part of Poole Harbour away from crowds.

Lake pier is a lovely little pebbly beach off the beaten track that tourists wouldn’t know was there. There is paid parking but it’s only a 10 minute walk away. Beautiful walks up on the heath with the blue Poole on one side and beach on the other. Perfect place for crabbing.
