Piazza San Marco, surrounded by elegant buildings is dominated by the facade of the Church and Convent of San Marco from which the square takes its name. The visit to the museum passes through the splendid spaces of the convent and in particular the cloister of Sant'Antonio, Sala dell'Ospizio, Sala del Refettorio, Sala del Capitolo and the monks’ cells. The beautiful Sala del Cenacolo is frescoed by Domenico Ghirlandaio with The Last Supper (1480).
