This is the main shopping area in the city. At night, there are a number of restaurants in the area, bowling and the cinema. there are a few cocktail bars and pubs all within walking distance.

Just opened two years ago it is a modern shopping centre with a variety of mainstream restuarants, shops alongside a cinema. It is near to Newport Museum and Library.

Friars walk is a partially under cover shopping centre and leisure complex , boasting eateries,bowling, cinema ,soft play area, it is a short walk to a multi purpose health and fitness centre ,the riverfront, high street,train and bus station, along with mseum and art gallery,st woolos cathedral ,Newport medieval ship

Friars walk has shops, coffee shops, cinema and bowling alley. Multiple restaurants too. M&S food Hall, Next, H&M and New Look Next door is Kingsway centre which has a gym, B&M, Wilko, KFC and sainsburys local.
