Bailey House Museum tells the story of the first missionaries on the island and the first girl's seminary. It has excellent Hawaiian artifacts and an original carved-hull outrigger canoe from the old days of Maui.

"Hale Hōʻikeʻike aka the Bailey House Museum exhibits a major collection of pre-western contact Hawaiian artifacts. The Maui Historical Society also maintains an Archival Resource Center which includes over 10,000 historic photos as well as maps, manuscripts, genealogy records, historical documents and more than 2,000 objects."
