This is a bear rescue facility. The experience is something to remember, but getting there is also a beautifully breathtaking experience

The only licensed bear rescue in Alaska. Fortress of the bear was founded in 2002 to place orphaned bear cubs. You are able to watch 5 brown bears and 3 black bears in the sanctuary. Lots of picture opportunities of what is normally an elusive creature on our island.
