Every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning (it closes at noon) Plaza Ferias hosts one of the largest Farmer's Markets in Costa Rica. You can find all sorts of tropical fruits and vegetables plus fresh cheeses, meats and others.

The Alajuela Farmer’s Market (Plaza Ferias) features a wide range of products and the best value for money and is 8 minutes by car. Hours: Friday: 12noon - 8pm Saturday: 5am - 2pm

If you´d like to explore and taste Costa Rican fruits and vegetables go visit Plaza Ferias, a huge farmer´s market open every Friday from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Large Fruit and Veg market. It's open 7 days a week. It is a great place to experience Costa Rican culture by wandering around the market checking out and tasting the diverse variety of Costa Rican fruit while sipping on an Agua de Pipa (coconut water). I recommend coming here even if you do not need fruit or veg. Plaza ferias is 10 minutes by car from La Casita.
